Stories From the Field — The Bird of Prey Hospital
Stories From the Field – The Hospital is a wildlife conservation documentary from Orange Planet Pictures, filmed in collaboration with the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover in Hampshire, United Kingdom.

Over several months, the film follows the work of Cedric Robert, Manager and Collections Manager at the Trust’s National Bird of Prey Hospital. The hospital specialises in rescuing, treating and rehabilitating injured birds of prey that have been found in the wild.

Many of the birds arriving at the hospital have suffered serious injuries caused by accidents, environmental hazards or human activity. Some arrive weak, distressed and with very little chance of survival.

Through careful veterinary treatment, specialist rehabilitation and patient care, Cedric and his team work tirelessly to give these birds a second chance.

The documentary provides a rare behind-the-scenes look at the dedication required to care for injured raptors, revealing both the challenges and the remarkable recoveries that take place within the hospital.

By documenting this work, the film highlights the importance of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation in protecting birds of prey and supporting conservation efforts across the UK.
